Jenna Rosenow is one of the exquisite young actresses of our time. A country girl born and raised in Ballarat, Victoria, her humble beginnings paved the way for the genuine grace and presence she exudes today.
At age 6 Jenna’s mother enrolled her in speech and drama classes as a way for her to develop her communication skills and confidence levels. Jenna felt immediately at ease and connected when she started acting, and whilst she delved into music and other interests, there was nothing that made her happier than when performing on stage.
She wanted to act for life. As a testament to her commitment she continued classes solidly for the next nine years, passing exams with high distinctions, followed by another six years of screen acting training.
In 2011, Jenna broke through with her first role in Ed Kavalee’s telemovie ‘Border Protection Squad’. This was followed by a guest appearance as the ethereal Aquata on ‘Mako: Island of Secrets’, Network Ten’s international hit teen series.
It was in 2012 that Jenna really stepped into owning her place as one of the country’s next up and coming stars – she secured the regular role of Amber Turner on Australia’s longest running drama ‘Neighbours’. She continued in the role for three years, including Neighbours’ 30th anniversary during which her character’s wedding day was the highlight.
Now based in LA, Jenna is as committed as ever to her craft; inspired by versatile and hardworking actors such as Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter. This onscreen beauty is a favourite amongst audiences and is quickly becoming one of Australia’s household names.
A self-confessed Harry Potter enthusiast and chocolate addict, Jenna is also obsessed with animals. In 2014 she became an Ambassador for Seeing Eye Dog Australia.
